DYA is always looking for coaches from the spring through the winter season. If you are interested in coaching, please click the “Registration Today Banner” on the home website. All DYA coaches are required to complete an online Coach Volunteer Registration and have a current concussion training certificate, Lindsay's Law Training and the Safe Sports Act which is new for the 2019 fall-winter season.
Concussion in Sports Training:
The State of Ohio’s Return to Play law imposes training, safety, and awareness requirements on all youth sports organizations and its coaches and referees. All coaches are required to complete an online training course every three years and provide evidence that they have successfully completed the course.
Click here to complete the FREE, 30-minute online training entitled “Concussion in Sports” from the National Federation of State High School Associations. When you have completed and passed the course, please print your Concussion In Sports certificate and scan and email a copy to DYA.
Lindsay’s Law (Sudden Cardiac Arrest):

Required SCA Informational Handout
Each Coach will need to watch the video, sign and date at the bottom of the SCA Informational Handout form.
Beginning fall of 2019, all adults with any contact with youth participants must become SafeSport certified. SafeSport, a US Government program of courses about sexual misconduct and mandatory reporting requirements requires coaches, team admins, board members and referees to take this course. The course is 90minutes long. More information is to follow.
